The View's Joy Behar encouraged the court to jail former President Donald Trump on Tuesday after listening to newly unearthed audio of him discussing classified documents that were still in his possession after leaving office.

"Lock him up!" she chanted.

On Monday night, CNN published an audio recording in which Trump is heard shuffling documents and discussing their contents. “See, as president, I could have declassified it. Now, I can’t. You know?” he says. “Isn’t that interesting? It’s so cool.”

The document he referred to in the recording concerned a Department of Defense plan for Iran, which Trump referred to as a “plan of attack."

After listening to the recording, Behar remarked, "He’s really stupid."

"Nixon was caught on tape, and that was the end of his career as president. This guy is caught on tape talking about grabbing women’s genitalia — he didn’t learn from that or Nixon, and now, he continues to tape himself. Now, that is really the definition of stupidity," she said, slamming him as "moronic."

Sunny Hostin later wondered, "Is it possible that he thought that he could sell them? That he thought he could leverage them?"

Behar seemed to signal the likelihood of that scenario, telling her, "Everything about him is making money, so why not?

"He’s a grifter," she added.

However, Behar expressed concern as to whether Trump would be found guilty in a jury trial. "If he goes to trial and he has one juror who is a MAGA nutcase, then you have a hung jury, right there," she speculated to her co-hosts.

Hostin explained that in that scenario, "you could retry that case."

But Behar doesn't think it'll be that simple. "Then maybe there’s another MAGA person. This could go on indefinitely," she said.
