Psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson claimed Canada’s current immigration crisis is “100% attributable to Justin Trudeau.”

Peterson appeared on One Nation with Brian Kilmeade Saturday to comment on Trudeau’s immigration policy. Last month, Trudeau announced Canada will be capping immigration for the next three years after its population broke 41 million. According to the prime minister, this was a “baby boom” speed that the country could barely withstand. As a result, the Canadian government announced it would lessen the allowed immigration by 20%.

BIDEN’S ‘TRUMP-PROOFING’ FOREIGN POLICY REVOLVES AROUND UKRAINE AND NATO

“He’s changing his tone because the policies that he put in place, which demolished the Canadian immigration system, and threw the borders wide open, upending decades of effective policy in Canada, have caused a catastrophic crisis in the country,” Peterson said. “Now you can see he’s blaming that on educational institutions and bad corporate actors that’s exactly typical of him and his 14-year-old mentality. Everything that’s gone, going wrong on the immigration front in Canada is 100% attributable to Justin Trudeau and his demented minions.”

DEMOCRATS WEIGH CHANGE IN STRATEGY TO AVOID MIDTERM AND 2028 DEFEATS

This was a reference to Trudeau blaming universities for an influx in immigration because they “used international students to raise their bottom line.” Trudeau previously went into depth on the problem in a YouTube video.

“And then there are really bad actors who outright exploit people who target vulnerable immigrants with promises of jobs, diplomas, and easy pathways to citizenship promises that would never come true,” Trudeau explains in the video.

“Now it’s going so badly and Canada that he has no choice but to reverse course and then see him flailing around trying to find someone to blame is exactly as pathetic as you would expect from someone like him,” Peterson said.

Meanwhile, Conservative Party of Canada Leader Pierre Poilievre is challenging Trudeau for the prime ministership in the October 2025 election, among others. At the moment, Poilievre’s party has 119 seats in the House of Commons, giving him a fair chance of defeating Trudeau as the prime minister’s Liberal Party has 153 seats in the country’s House of Commons.
