Talk show host Jon Stewart's latest series will end after two seasons on Apple TV.

The Problem with Jon Stewart finished its second season in April before Apple canceled its contract with Stewart. Per a report that cited a source familiar with the circumstances, Apple executives did not agree with Stewart's takes on artificial intelligence and China, which he wanted to cover in future episodes.

A third season of the Problem with Jon Stewart was scheduled to begin in a few weeks, but no premiere date had been released. Its accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and X (the social media website formerly known as Twitter) continue to be up but have not commented on the cancellation. The most recent post came last month. The last promotional video was shared six weeks ago.

All the episodes from Season One and Season Two remain available to stream on Apple TV.

Stewart quit Comedy Central's the Daily Show in 2015 after 16 years there. The comedian did not make the move to Apple until 2021, but he had a multiyear contract with the streaming service. It remains to be seen what will happen to the contract, as Stewart has not commented on the matter.

Over a year ago, Stewart apologized for the jokes he made as a host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central from 1999 to 2015 as "s***ty and reductive" during an episode of the Problem with Jon Stewart. The 2022 episode was dedicated to Stewart "break[ing] down the gender binary and gender spectrum," according to a promotional tweet. Apple TV released this episode free of charge online.

On YouTube, Stewart had over a million subscribers to the channel dedicated to reposting clips from the show.
