A new poll found that Jewish people overwhelmingly support President Joe Biden and oppose former President Donald Trump.
The results of the recent National Survey of Jewish Voters from the Jewish Electorate Institute found strong liberal attitudes among Jews, support for Israel, and support for Biden's handling of Israel's war with Hamas. The results cast doubt on some conservative commentators' claims that the reactions of some Democrats to the war in Gaza would drive many Jews into the arms of Republicans.

Among Jews, only the Orthodox had a generally positive opinion of Trump, though only 9% of Jews in the United States are Orthodox. The majority — Reform, Conservative, or no Denomination — expressed overwhelmingly liberal attitudes, including hostility to Trump and the Republican Party generally.
Overall, 68% of American Jews supported Biden, while only 22% supported Trump. Attitudes were largely consistent across age groups.
Biden's job approval rating among Jews was 66%, far higher than his approval among the general population. Roughly 74% supported Biden's handling of the war in Gaza.
Despite the reactions of many Democrats in Congress sympathetic toward the Palestinians, which have been denounced by many as antisemitic, Jews trusted Democrats in Congress to handle antisemitism more than Republicans by a wide margin. While 24% said they trusted neither, 40% trusted Democrats more, compared to just 26% who trusted Republicans more.
The actions of the "Squad" House Democrats also didn't cost the party a majority of support from Jews.
