NextImg:Jeopardy! fans lament contestant's inability to recall Lord's Prayer

Three contestants on Jeopardy! were stumped on a question surrounding the Lord's Prayer.

The Tuesday episode featured a $200 puzzle, meant to be the easiest puzzle to solve, which read: "Matthew 6:9 says, ‘Our Father, which art in heaven,’ This ‘be thy name.’” When no one could respond, host Mayim Bialik responded with the answer "hallowed."

A clip of the episode made the rounds on social media.

"Get God back into your lives and homes, America!" one user wrote.

"Twitter erupted with Jeopardy fans who were surprised that 3 smart contestants were unable to fill in the blank with a word from the Lord’s Prayer," evangelist Franklin Graham tweeted. "We have lost so much Biblical literacy & basic awareness of the things of God’s Word. This moving away from Biblical values will equal double jeopardy for our nation."

"This may seem like a silly example of cultural decay," another user wrote. "But my 5-year-old knows the entire Lord's Prayer and loves to recite it at dinner time. Parents can change the world with how they raise their children."

"I'm not a Muslim, but I know the name of Allah's last prophet," another user wrote. "These people are supposed to be educated."

"This is why our Nation is broken! 3 contestants on Jeopardy don’t know the first line of the Lord’s Prayer?!?!" another user commented. "America needs JESUS!!"
