NextImg:'It makes me mad:' MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski tells Biden staff to 'do a better job'

Mika Brzezinski has asked President Joe Biden's staff to "do a better job" taking care of the president, citing recent accidents Biden has had onstage.

The MSNBC news anchor went on a rant on Wednesday regarding the president's staff and how she thinks "they don't do a good job" helping Biden. While Brzezinski admitted that Biden is of elderly age, at 80 years old, she went on to say his staff needs to make sure "he doesn't fall on a sandbag," as such a fall would be "played on a loop."

"So do a better job, because you can’t have these video images of the president tripping or the president like going to wrong way," said Brzezinski. "It's not going to work in this presidency, because his age is going to be a factor."

Brzezinski's comment on Biden falling comes after the president has either tripped or fallen to the ground several times throughout his presidency, with the most recent occurrence happening in June when he fell onstage after handing out the last diploma at the United States Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado. The president also fell in 2022 when he was taking a bike ride in Delaware.

"He can handle the presidency," Brzezinski said. "You have his schedule and where he goes. It makes me mad."

The recurrences of Biden falling have raised concerns about his ability to run for the position of president. Former President Donald Trump, who is running for president again in 2024, said he hopes Biden "wasn't hurt" by his most recent fall.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is also running for president, described the president's fall in June as "kind of just symbolic about the state of the country."

Biden celebrated his 80th birthday in November last year and is the oldest president to ever get elected president. He is running for reelection in the 2024 presidential election.

A recent survey from the Pew Research Center found that 49% of voters believe the best age range for a president is in their 50s.
