Since Hamas terrorists began their ethnic cleansing campaign of Jews in Israel nearly two weeks ago, Nazi sympathizers on the Right and Left have called into question whether murdered babies were actually beheaded. They have questioned why blood-soaked crime scenes were actually bloodied and not painted, and they have questioned whether female hostages in blood-soaked pants were actually rape victims.

And yet, when the very terrorists perpetrating this violence claimed that Israel bombed a hospital in Gaza, immediately killing 500 Palestinian civilians, the BBC, CNN, the New York Times, multiple foreign governments, and the entire left-wing congressional "Squad" shared the story uncritically.

As it turns out, not only was the hospital not bombed into oblivion, creating a death toll that could not remotely amount to 500, let alone be counted instantly, but whatever damage was done was inflicted by a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket. Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, our friend A.G. Hamilton details all the evidence proving the rocket was indeed from Gaza, including a leaked phone call between Hamas operatives confirming as much.

To be clear, the original lie from Hamas never passed the smell test. Why would Israel, which has waited more than 10 days to respond with ground troops to the single worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, all to give civilian noncombatants time to seek refuge south of Gaza, randomly bomb a hospital of civilians a day before the American president is slated to visit? This is also the same Israel that puts its soldiers' lives in danger to forewarn Palestinian civilians when it will begin a bombing campaign because Hamas intentionally hides its weapons of war beneath civilian infrastructure.

For nearly a decade now, the Democratic media complex has engaged in a collective fulmination over the danger of "fake news." Countering "disinformation" has become a major media beat in the corporate press, and censoring it has become a mission of government arms and agencies, including the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and CIA. Running roughshod over the First Amendment as a first principle of the West was supposed to be worth it, disinformation warriors claimed, to counter the scourge of the danger it poses.

And yet, when fake news from a terrorist organization actively attempting genocide risked putting further surviving Jews at risk of their lives, almost the entire corporate press, governments, and our own elected representatives decided to act as stenographers for the rapists and murderers.

Consider this a warning. If you ran with straight Hamas propaganda uncritically without any subsequent apology and correction, imperiling Jewish lives in the process, do not ever claim to care about "disinformation" again.
