The violence by Hamas against Israeli civilians has led to a worldwide condemnation of the terrorist group. Needlessly murdering babies, children, women, and innocent concertgoers tends to have that effect on people. But a recently resurfaced video sheds more light on the radical and toxic ideology fueling the group. It should be no surprise that much of their values and beliefs align with contemporary left-wing political thought.

HAMAS IS THE WORST ENEMY OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE

During an interview with Vice in 2021, Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’s leader in the Gaza Strip, used the Left’s cultural obsession with George Floyd and “racism” to make a ridiculous comparison about Israel.

“And I want to take this opportunity to remember the racist murder of George Floyd. George Floyd was killed as a result of racist ideology held by some people,” Sinwar said. “The same type of racism that killed George Floyd is being used by Israel against the Palestinians in Jerusalem, the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and in the West Bank.”

Unless Israel tried to pay Hamas for something with counterfeit money, resisted arrest, or abused fentanyl, there is no correlation between these two events. Moreover, there was no racist ideology that killed George Floyd. He died during a confrontation with police that he started by resisting arrest. No charges of racism or hate crimes were ever brought against any police officers involved.

There wasn’t any racism that killed George Floyd. That is, was, and will always be rogue left-wing propaganda, which was exactly why Sinwar said what he did in 2021. Hamas wants to portray itself as the victim and knows the power behind accusations of racism. However, it’s indicative of the Left’s strength with its messaging and how it uses these tactics to gain sympathy and influence narratives worldwide. Accusations of racism today are arguably more effective than accusations of murder. This is the dangerous world the Left created.

And, while George Floyd’s death and anything Hamas did or does are unrelated, it should be noted that the terrorist organization has aligned itself with radical, aggressive, left-wing American political ideologies. The fact that terrorist groups echo such claims is reflective of the magnitude of the threat of the Left’s dogma.
