Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett condemned the pro-Palestinian protesters seen in Washington, D.C, on Saturday.

In an interview with Fox News on Sunday, Bennett gave updates on Israel's war against Hamas, saying that the government was fully united in its war goals. When asked about large pro-Palestinian protests in Washington D.C., the former Israeli prime minister issued a harsh condemnation.

"I know that widespread, American people are good people," he responded. "They’re people who believe in freedom and liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And I can only assume that the people out there, are they themselves, are either radical Islamic believers, and then I've got not much to say, or ignorant people who simply don’t know what we’re facing. We are fighting total evil, the pure epitome of evil, and we have to continue, I hope Americans — the widespread Americans — don’t accept this horrible behavior."

Saturday saw large pro-Palestinian protests in Washington D.C., the largest since the beginning of hostilities on Oct. 7. Videos of the event show a wide variety of people, including at least one protester who was seen flying the flag of Hezbollah, the militant Iranian-backed terror group based in Lebanon.

Bennett has presented a united front since Hamas' surprise attack against Israel last month, largely avoiding public criticism of his political rival, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He continued this theme on Sunday, refusing to comment when asked about Netanyahu's political future.
