Israel’s military announced that Iran’s attack has begun as of Tuesday night.

“A short while ago, missiles were launched from Iran toward the State of Israel,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Telegram.

The extent and scope of the Iranian attack is still unclear, though the Biden administration warned hours earlier that the attack would likely include ballistic missiles.

“The United States has indications that Iran is preparing to imminently launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel. We are actively supporting defensive preparations to defend Israel against this attack. A direct military attack from Iran against Israel will carry severe consequences for Iran,” a senior White House official told the Washington Examiner.

Israeli civilians throughout the entire country have been urged to go to bomb shelters for safety.
