Abbe Lowell, an attorney for Hunter Biden who is handling his congressional inquiries, said Sunday that there is no connection between President Joe Biden and his son's foreign business deals.
On Face the Nation, Lowell told Margaret Brennan that despite "many members of Congress and their staffs and media" looking for a connection between Biden and his son's business dealings, "the facts and the evidence" have shown that "it doesn’t exist."

“The facts and the evidence that have been pursued by however many members of Congress and their staffs and media, looking for any possible connection, has shown time and time again — it doesn’t exist," he said.
According to the lawyer, his actions with Hunter Biden's associates are part of his role as a "loving father."
"When the president calls his son every day, and it goes on the speakerphone, he says hello to the people in the room — that is not an offense,” Lowell said.
The House Oversight Committee Republicans are investigating the Biden family's business dealings, with the belief that Biden himself is implicated in Hunter Biden's foreign deals, particularly while he served as vice president.
Chairman James Comer (R-KY) recently told the Washington Examiner, "The Bidens benefited from nearly two dozen shady companies, most set up during Joe Biden’s vice presidency, to receive millions of dollars from corrupt oligarchs and [Chinese Communist Party]-linked associates and sold nothing but Joe Biden, 'the brand.'"

He added that "The House Oversight Committee will continue to follow the money and interview witnesses to determine whether foreign actors targeted the Bidens, President Biden is compromised and corrupt, and our national security is threatened."
Last week, Comer said that the committee would soon issue subpoenas for Biden's family members to testify.
