Ranking Oversight Committee member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) admitted Sunday that President Joe Biden's son Hunter did "a lot of really unlawful and wrong things."
Appearing on ABC's This Week, the Maryland Democrat said that while everyone seems to be clear that Hunter Biden was addicted to drugs and "did a lot of really unlawful and wrong things," Republicans are "not saying that about" former President Donald Trump.

Raskin pointed to the recent indictments of Trump, saying that "after a grand jury has already determined that there's probable cause, they attack the prosecutors. They attack the judges. They attack the system. For them, Donald Trump could never be guilty of anything."
According to Raskin, Congressional Republicans have not been able to tie Biden to his son's business deals. "As President, they haven't been able to show any criminal corruption on his part," he said.

The Committee, led by Chairman James Comer (R-KY), is investigating Biden and his family for alleged influence peddling and corruption while he was vice president. Last week, Comer said he plans to subpoena members of the president's family to testify in front of the committee.
He said he believes those subpoenas will end up in court. “Obviously, with all the opposition and obstruction we’re getting from the Biden attorneys now, we know that this is going to end up in court when we subpoena the Bidens,” Comer explained. “So, we’re putting together a case, and I think we’ve done that very well.”

The committee released a memo last week detailing the family's foreign business dealings. The document is primarily focused on three LLCs associated with Hunter Biden: Rosemont Seneca Partners, Rosemont Seneca Thornton, and Rosemont Seneca Bohai.
"The Bidens benefited from nearly two dozen shady companies, most set up during Joe Biden’s vice presidency, to receive millions of dollars from corrupt oligarchs and [Chinese Communist Party]-linked associates and sold nothing but Joe Biden, 'the brand,'" Comer told the Washington Examiner. "The House Oversight Committee will continue to follow the money and interview witnesses to determine whether foreign actors targeted the Bidens, President Biden is compromised and corrupt, and our national security is threatened."
