Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), a member of the House Oversight Committee, said “the mountain of evidence” against President Joe Biden continues to grow, linking him to “criminal bribery” and money laundering schemes involving Hunter Biden and foreign nationals.

“He said that he was unaware of his son's business activities, but not only was he not unaware, he was inextricably linked, when we know that he had meetings at the [Naval] Observatory, which is where the vice president lives, with these business partners, where he called into the meetings of these business partners, and where he likely changed American policy based on the wishes of these business partners,” Perry told Newsmax.

The House Oversight Committee has led an investigation into the Biden family’s foreign business dealings, which earlier this year uncovered an FBI FD-1023 form that alleges Biden was bribed by “foreign national” Mykola Zlochevsky, the Ukrainian owner of Burisma.

“The firing of the prosecutor general in Ukraine, who was pursuing [Burisma], the company that his son Hunter Biden was working for,” Perry said. “That same company that was seeking a business deal in the United States, but was under a cloud of scrutiny because of the prosecutor — the prosecutor was fired at the behest of that company and in exchange for one billion dollars in loan guarantees from the United States of America.”

“That is influence peddling. That is changing foreign policy for the sake of his own personal interests, and not to be missed in this whole thing is that corruption regarding the cover-up by the FBI, the IRS, and the Department of Justice in these proceedings that goes directly to Hunter Biden and maybe to President Biden,” Perry continued.

Perry noted that the impeachment inquiry will now enable Congress to subpoena bank records to “fill in the blanks,” acknowledging that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has said he has “leads” on tracing down the money trail of the bribe that Biden allegedly received.

"That's why we need this additional authority because the information is not forthcoming," Perry said of the impeachment inquiry.

"We're going to have to request it, likely under subpoena. But remember, we have an FBI informant who's a trusted informant who says that President Biden is involved in extortion in Ukraine," Perry added. "The value of that extortion was $5 million to Hunter and $5 million to Joe Biden. That money is sitting somewhere, and we need to find out where that is."
