LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were swept out of the Western Conference finals. We can only hope that this marks the end of LeBron’s run as the “king” of the NBA.
Following a 113-111 defeat to the Denver Nuggets, resulting in a 4-0 series loss, LeBron entertained the idea of retiring. He almost certainly will not, as he has spent the better part of a year talking about wanting to play on the same team as his son, who will be eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft.

BIDEN'S DELUSIONAL G-7 PRESS CONFERENCE
Even if LeBron does remain in the league, questions remain about the Lakers’ future, with guard Austin Reaves potentially leaving in free agency and the Lakers' depth a concern. The Nuggets were the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, and their two-time MVP, Nikola Jokic, is only 28. Other younger teams are trending in the right direction, and this was the first season in his career where LeBron did not receive a single top-five MVP vote. The tide has changed in the NBA.
It is for the best. On the court, LeBron is likely the second-best player ever. His game is a dazzling display of athleticism and great vision, along with whining and flopping that has made it easy to root against him. But, off the court, LeBron has used his status to become one of the worst influences in politics, doing damage to the culture that will be difficult to reverse.
When China made its move to destroy democracy in Hong Kong, many NBA stars and personalities cowardly pleaded ignorance to avoid jeopardizing the league’s financial relationship with China. LeBron went one step further, declaring that anyone who supported the Hong Kong protesters “wasn’t educated on the situation at hand” and that “so many people” could be “harmed not only financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually” by criticizing the Chinese Communist Party.
LeBron comments on Daryl Morey’s China tweet: "I believe he wasn't educated on the situation at hand and he spoke."

Oh, won't someone think of the spiritual harm against the genocidal Chinese government?
LeBron was always educated, though. In his own words, “I speak from a very educated mind. So, I’m kind of the wrong guy to actually go at because I do my homework.”
Then again, maybe not. In Wisconsin, Jacob Blake violated the restraining order against him by a woman who accused him of sexual assault. Blake then defied police instructions and armed himself with a knife, at which point he was shot. From his “very educated mind,” LeBron said it was a “blow to the heart and gut” that officers were not charged for protecting their own lives.

Similarly, when a white police officer shot and killed Ma’Khia Bryant, LeBron demanded he be thrown in jail. The alternative was that the officer allow Bryant to stab a black woman to death with a knife, as the video clearly showed that the officer was acting to save that other woman’s life.
All the good LeBron did off the court has been overshadowed by his obnoxious desire to be seen as the smartest and wokest person in the room. As one of the most recognizable athletes on the planet, LeBron has used his platform to promote racial division and spew Chinese Communist propaganda. If this is the end of his run at the top of the league, we will all be better off for it.
