First lady Jill Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have said many things over the years to make millions of people think they are empathetic, kind, decent human beings. Yet what both of them didn’t say this weekend showed everyone the kind of people they truly are. Three days after the first assassination attempt on a presidential candidate since 1972 (George Wallace), neither Biden nor Clinton has commented on their X accounts.
The first lady once said, “Decency is on the ballot.”
Well, it may have been on the ballot, but it definitely was not on her social media account, as Biden has remained silent about the attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life. The faux doctor and current wife of the president has not posted anything on her X accounts offering sympathy, empathy, or even acknowledging the assassination attempt on Trump. It’s a shameful silence that spoke volumes of the kind of person she truly is, indicative of her considerable lack of decency.
Clinton, meanwhile, had zero problems criticizing Trump’s selection for vice president, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), on X but remained silent about the attempted murder of Trump. She took to the social media platform on Tuesday to once again resort to dangerous, inflammatory rhetoric, insinuating that Vance was against freedom.
Clinton, who habitually has commented on nearly every political matter over the last 20 years, even when millions of people asked her to remain quiet, was conspicuously silent up until Tuesday morning. Yet the former politician who regularly warned of threats against our democracy (constitutional republic) took an apparent vow of silence on X after the attempt on Trump’s life, which was an actual threat to our democracy (constitutional republic). It’s the latest example of just how callous and cold Clinton is.
Incidentally, a careful look at Clinton’s X account revealed that her last post before today’s was about none other than Trump. So she established that she could comment about her political rival and former president. However, she obviously chose not to do so when it came to the attempt on Trump’s life.
There were no posts conveying sympathy, empathy, condolences, or anything sensible, reasonable, or humane. Instead, Clinton made a social media post featuring the deceptive, dishonest, and dangerous inflammatory rhetoric that has become a staple of Democratic politics, insinuating that Trump was a dictator.
It’s understandable that, as political rivals, Biden and Clinton may not view Trump favorably. Heck, they may even hate him. Both sentiments are perfectly understandable. However, one’s disdain for a political rival should not replace human decency, especially when emphasizing the importance of decency. Their silence was disrespectful, and their stunning lack of empathy was, to quote Clinton, deplorable.
And even though both women were acknowledged in statements about the assassination attempt by their husbands, their silence should not fool anyone. Neither purposely made any social media posts on X (a rarity for both regarding political matters) acknowledging the attempt on Trump’s life. And it is something that should not go unnoticed or quickly forgotten.

It should be mentioned any time either of them ever mention decency or “threats to democracy” (constitutional republic) ever again. Their actions have unquestionably demonstrated their phoniness and insincerity. They lied and deceived millions of people to create a fake political persona.
On the outside, Jill Biden and Hillary Clinton try to create an image that portrays them as kind and compassionate. Yet when it comes to their authentic selves, their actions, or lack thereof, show that they are rotten to the core.
