The filmmakers behind Jesus Revolution are set to release another film about faith and miracles that will feature two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank.
The new film Ordinary Angels explores the inspiring true story of a struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who sets out to help a widower as he pursues a liver transplant for his youngest daughter amid a devastating snowstorm.

“I was drawn to this beautiful true story because it’s such a powerful reminder that angels reside everywhere among us. And that faith, hope, grit, and positivity are all powerful fuel for miracles,” Swank told the Washington Examiner in a statement.
“It’s also a story about the power of organ donation — something incredibly near and dear to my heart,” Swank, who plays the role of the hairdresser named Sharon Stevens, added. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this story and message.”
Swank has shared how she stepped away from acting for a time as she cared for her father, Michael Swank, following his lung transplant. Her father died in 2021.
The film also features Reacher star Alan Ritchson, who plays the role of widower Ed Schmitt.
“I believe that sometimes we just need to be reminded of the power of what we can do together. This is why I was drawn to Ordinary Angels,” Ritchson told the Washington Examiner.

Ordinary Angels will be released nationwide on Oct. 13, going up against The Exorcist sequel.
The film is being released by Lionsgate, the studio behind the faith-based film Jesus Revolution, which has shocked the box office, earning more than $46 million since it hit theaters on Feb. 24.
