


Former Wisconsin Democratic Sen. Herb Kohl died at age 88, his foundation announced.
Aside from his political career, Kohl was the owner of Kohl's supermarkets and department stores and was the owner of the Milwaukee Bucks.

“Throughout his life, Herb Kohl always put people first — from his employees and their families to his customers and countless charitable organizations and efforts,” JoAnne Anton, director of giving for Herb Kohl Philanthropies, said in an email announcing his death.
