Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) called for quick discovery in the investigation of President Joe Biden following whistleblower allegations linking him to a “criminal scheme” involving bribery with foreign nationals.
“Democrats and the media have covered for this president over and over and over again to the tune of even interfering in an election,” Hawley told Fox News Tonight. “We need to know what the truth is, and we need to get it right now.”
On Wednesday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) issued a subpoena to the FBI, ordering that a bureau form alleging a “criminal scheme” involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and an unnamed “foreign national” be turned over after a whistleblower told Comer and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) that it alleges a “bribery scheme.”
“There needs to be no hiding,” Hawley said, commenting on the issuing of Comer’s subpoena. “That is why the subpoena is so important. The whole public, the American people, need to see this document. We need to see exactly what the allegations are. We need to see what the evidence is.”
Hawley noted that regardless of whether the FBI “tries to hide behind classification,” the information must be released — even in a classified setting.

“I just say to those Democrats out there screaming about how ‘Joe Biden is innocent,’ ‘Joe Biden hasn’t done anything.’ Oh, fine, then show us what you know. Show us what the evidence is and the allegations. Don’t be afraid of what the facts are.”
The senator stressed the importance of making public the documentation and all evidence to avoid suppressing information that could influence the 2024 elections.
