Hamas is set to release 14 Israeli hostages on Saturday as the temporary truce between the two sides enters its second day.

Hamas will release 14 Israeli hostages, but none of the 13 Americans held in captivity are expected to be a part of that group, CNN reported.

In return, Israel will release 42 Palestinian prisoners as part of the agreement, according to reports.

This is Day Two of a four-day pause in fighting agreed to by Hamas and Israel that will see Hamas release about 50 Israeli hostages and Israel release three Palestinian prisoners for every hostage that's returned.

On Friday, Hamas released the first group of hostages, including 13 Israelis, 10 Thai nationals, and one Filipino national.

Hamas is estimated to have taken nearly 240 hostages from its Oct. 7 attack on Israel. This is the first hold on fighting since the invasion.
