A group of masked criminals ransacked a Los Angeles area wig store that serves cancer patients Tuesday robbing the location of tens of thousands of dollars in product.
The incident occurred at The Wig Fairy around 3:30 a.m. when at least three individuals, believed to be women, smashed the store's front glass with poles and rocks and entered the location, according to a report.

Security footage shows the criminals snatching wigs by the handful and grabbing as much product as possible.
The crime forced the shop, which caters to women enduring hair loss, to close until Wednesday, the report noted.
"Unfortunately our salon was broken into this morning. We assure you that we’re working tirelessly to get your orders and the salon back on track," a statement posted to Instagram read.
"Although our doors will be closed today. Please feel free to call us or message us with any questions. We hope to resume regular operation hours Wednesday 8/23."
The impact the robbery will have on the women it serves has not been lost on The Wig Fairy staff.
"They come to us and say, 'Please make me look like myself. The last thing I need is — I don't want people to give me pity. I don't want people to know I am wearing wigs," store owner Mona Zargar said.
"How do I explain to them that I don't have a wig for you?"
