Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow, 51, shared her retirement plans to eventually sell her wellness company Goop and to "just disappear" from the public.

"I will literally disappear from public life," she said in an interview with Bustle about the prospect of one day selling her Goop business. "No one will ever see me again."

Paltrow said she feels her life is "just extra, extra messy" because she has so much to do — both personally and professionally.

She is mother to her son Moses, stepson Brody, daughter Apple, and stepdaughter Isabella. Paltrow is currently married to television director Brad Falchuk and was previously married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

"My son and stepson are both seniors in high school, and sometimes I feel like the college process is a full-time job in and of itself," she said.

The businesswoman revealed that she's been struggling to "keep the domestic stuff on track" with her busy company and feels as if she's been "just f***ing up."

She added: "It’s just one of those seasons."

Paltrow said she's not "ready to sell yet" because she still has "a few more years" to go in growing her business. However, if someone were to buy her company, she would be fine with "literally" disappearing from public life.

For now, her company is launching a line of skin care products called good.clean.goop on October 22, which include glycolic acid toner and vitamin C eye serum, ranging in price from $19.99 to $125 to be sold exclusively at Target and on Amazon in an effort to provide "more affordable" products.

Paltrow said she had been "spending a lot of more time in Target lately, just looking at the breadth of what’s available."

Her last major film was 2019's Avengers: Endgame, but she admits that "the shine" of acting has worn off for her.

"Part of the shine of acting wore off, you know, being in such intense public scrutiny, being a kid who's like living every breakup on every headline, like being criticized for everything you do, say and wear," she said.

She is no longer interested in being "alone in a hotel room in Budapest for six weeks" for a movie film shoot.

Paltrow blames the "patriarchy" for women feeling that they have to be constantly busy.

"We as women are so programmed to be busy. It’s like a badge of honor, and we’ve all bought this thing from the patriarchy hook, line, and sinker that we have to be busy and overperforming. I’d like to move into the next phase — more from a place of discovery and gentleness. To let life unfold, as opposed to 'I’m not doing enough,'" she said to Bustle.

The movie star admitted that aging has also had an impact on her psychologically.

"I am constantly in an exercise of embracing where I am and also embracing this painful thing of not being young and beautiful. Sometimes I almost think of it as a person that I’m hugging, like, 'This is supposed to happen. This is OK,'” she said.

In recent years, Paltrow was in the spotlight for helping break the story of Harvey Weinstein sexually assaulting Hollywood women. When many actresses were reluctant to share the misconduct of Weinstein, she was one of the first to share his misconduct. She helped end Weinstein's career in Hollywood and catapult the start of the #MeToo movement.
