The Georgia clerk responsible for leaking the list of indictment charges against former President Donald Trump this week claims it was an accident.
"I am human," Fulton County Clerk Che Alexander said following her erroneous leaking of the 13 counts brought against Trump.

It was the pursuit of perfection that caused the leak, according to Alexander.
"That's how the mishap happened," she said, explaining that, when she got the document, she simply hit send instead of save.

The office of the district attorney played no part in the leak, and there was no sinister intention behind the error, Alexander said.
"I have no dog in the fight," she said. "I did a work sample in the system, and when I hit save, it went to the press queue."
Reporters jumped on the mistake before it was deleted, and the leak went viral.
Alexander maintains that the documents journalists saw were not official, she said.
"It wasn't an official document. It wasn't official charges," according to Alexander. "It was the dry run. It was a work sample."
Initially, she tried to cover up the error by releasing a statement decrying the document as "fictitious," she admitted.
"That was the best word that I could come up with. It was fictitious. It wasn't real. It didn't have a stamp on it," she said.
"I tell my staff we just want to be transparent. I don’t have anything to hide."

Since the leak, her office has received threats, according to Alexander.
Those threats have been reported to authorities.
