The national average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas on Wednesday is $3.462, which is below Tuesday's price of $3.478. The price was $3.541 a week ago, according to AAA.

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Maryland is $3.332, which is just below Tuesday's price of $3.345. One week ago, the price was $3.369.

Virginia

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Virginia is $3.272, which is below Tuesday's $3.283 price. Last week, the price was $3.330.

Washington, D.C.

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Washington, D.C., is $3.653, just below Tuesday's $3.673 price. The price one week ago was $3.692.

California

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in California dropped to $5.236. On Tuesday, the price was $5.266. Last week, it was $5.387.

New York

In New York, the average price is $3.732, just below Tuesday's $3.739 price. Last week, the average price was $3.772.
