The national average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas on Friday is $3.558, below Thursday's price of $3.565. The price was $3.628 a week ago, according to AAA.

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Maryland rose to $3.363 on Friday, up from $3.352 the day before. One week ago, the price was $3.373.
Virginia
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Virginia is $3.359, below Thursday's $3.365 price. Last week, the price was $3.419.
Washington, D.C.
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Washington, D.C., is $3.696, below Thursday's price of $3.709. The price one week ago was $3.759.
California
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in California has dropped to $5.487. On Thursday, the price was $5.520. Last week, it was $5.669.
New York
In New York, the average price is $3.791, just below Thursday's $3.795 price. Last week, the average price was $3.828.
