The national average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas on Thursday is $3.646, below Wednesday's price of $3.663. The price was $3.768 a week ago, according to AAA.

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Maryland is $3.399, below Wednesday's price of $3.414. One week ago, the price was $3.483.
Virginia
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Virginia is $3.431, below Wednesday's price of $3.442. Last week, the price was $3.500.
Washington, D.C.
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Washington, D.C., is $3.752, below Wednesday's price of $3.768. The price one week ago was $3.845.
California
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in California has dropped to $5.702. On Wednesday, the price was $5.735. Last week, it was significantly higher at $5.933.
New York
In New York, the average price is $3.834, below Wednesday's $3.842 price. Last week, the average price was $3.879.
