The national average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas on Wednesday is $3.785, below Tuesday's price of $3.798. The price was $3.832 a week ago, according to AAA.

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Maryland is $3.502, below Tuesday's price of $3.517. One week ago, the price was $3.574.
Virginia
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Virginia is $3.509, below Tuesday's $3.515 price. Last week, the price was $3.558.
Washington, D.C.
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Washington, D.C., is $3.850, below Tuesday's price of $3.858. The price one week ago was $3.924.
California
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in California has dropped below $6 to $5.975. Just yesterday, the price was $6.020. Last week, it was $5.890.
New York
In New York, the average price is $3.885, just below Tuesday's $3.889 price. Last week, the average price was $3.909.
