Washington, D.C.
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Washington, D.C., is $3.924, above Tuesday's price of $3.904. The price one week ago was $3.920.
California
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in California remains startlingly high at $5.890 on Wednesday, up from Tuesday's price of $5.840. Last week, the price was $5.793.
New York
In New York, the average price is $3.909, just below Tuesday's $3.913 price. Last week, the average price was $3.927.
