Gas prices remain a major concern in the United States.

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, the economy is on voters' minds, and the prices at the pumps could play a major role in determining who the next president of the United States is.

The national average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas on Wednesday is $3.875, just below Tuesday's price of $3.880. The price was $3.848 a week ago, according to AAA.

Maryland

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Maryland is $3.699, slightly below yesterday's price of $3.704. One week ago, the price was $3.668.

Virginia

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Virginia is $3.591, just below Tuesday's $3.594 price. Last week, the price was $3.578.

Washington, D.C.

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Washington, D.C., is up slightly on Wednesday at $3.920. Tuesday's price was $3.917. Last week, it was $3.896.

California

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in California keeps soaring and stands at $5.793 on Wednesday, above Tuesday's price of $5.760. Last week, the price was $5.484.

New York

In New York, the average price is $3.927, just above Tuesday's price of $3.925. Last week, the average price was $3.903.
