NextImg:Gas prices continue to soar in Biden’s America - Washington Examiner

Do Biden voters care about high gas prices? Do they enjoy paying significantly more at the pump compared to when former President Donald Trump was in office?

It’s a logical question to ask given their support for a president who regularly thumps his chest when gas prices drop slightly, but goes into hiding when gas prices surge. Consider President Joe Biden’s checkered history on gas prices and his penchant for taking credit when they fall.

For example, on July 8, 2022, Biden boasted that gas prices in the country had decreased for “25 days in a row.” And, in what can only be described as blatantly misleading propaganda, Biden credited his economic policies for the drop. He also celebrated the “second largest single day decrease in gas prices in a decade.” He claimed that “we are making significant progress. The program is working.”

Working? At the time of this boasting, gas prices were significantly higher than when Trump was in office. Almost two years later, prices remain higher. Only Biden can brag about something like that.

Biden’s deception has continued ever since then. When gas prices drop, Biden takes credit. When they increase, Biden never mentions gas prices.

Just a few months ago, Democrats praised Biden and his economic policies. They released waves of propaganda about gas prices dropping from record highs (even though gas prices under Biden were still higher than they were under Trump, even with the temporary decrease). Today, not one Democrat is talking about gas prices. It’s indicative of the political games and manipulation the left-wing party regularly tries to pull on people.

Let’s consider the impact of these gas prices on the average person. According to AAA, the current national average for gas prices is $3.67 per gallon, a nearly 15% increase since the beginning of the year. In January, the average price was approximately $3.20 per gallon. To offer further perspective, during Trump’s last month in office, January of 2021, the average price for gas was $2.42 per gallon. These numbers reflect the burden the average person bears under Biden’s presidency.

The truth is undeniable. Biden’s record on gas prices is abysmal. The numbers speak for themselves. In 2024, it’s time for voters to see through the smoke and mirrors and stop buying into the false narrative that Biden is selling.
