This marks a slight decrease from Saturday’s $3.452 per gallon price. Gas is also cheaper than a week ago when a gallon of regular-grade gasoline cost $3.449. A month ago, a gallon of regular gas was $3.60.
Mississippi is still the state with the cheapest gas in the nation, with a gallon of regular-grade gasoline costing $2.929. Arkansas is right behind, with a price of $2.939 per gallon. California remains the state with the most expensive gas prices, at $4.84 for a gallon of regular-grade gasoline.
The Golden State has experienced one of the country’s largest gas price drops in the country, going from an average price of $5.241 for a gallon of regular gasoline a month ago to its current price.
Gas prices are less expensive than June 2023 when a gallon of regular gas cost $3.583.

Here are the gas prices for a gallon of regular-grade gas in and around Washington, D.C., and a few other states.
A gallon of regular gas costs $3.665 per gallon in the nation’s capital. This is a slight decrease from Saturday’s price of $3.670. It is also cheaper for gas in Washington, D.C. than it was a week ago when the price was $3.677 for a gallon of regular-grade gasoline. A month ago, gas cost $3.719.
In Maryland, a gallon of regular-grade gas is $3.609. This is an increase from last week’s price of $3.535 per gallon. The state’s average gas price is also more expensive than it was a month ago when it cost $3.559 for a gallon of regular gas.
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Virginia is $3.364. This slightly decreased from Saturday’s average price of $3.365 per gallon. A week ago, regular-grade gas was $3.349 per gallon in Virginia, and a month ago, it was $3.419.
The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Delaware is $3.536. This is a slight increase from Saturday, when the average price was $3.535. Notably, gas is also more expensive now than a month ago, when it cost $3.466 per gallon.

Gas prices in New Jersey stood at $3.394 for a gallon of regular-grade gasoline. This was slightly cheaper than Saturday’s price of $3.397. A week ago, a gallon of regular cost $3.435; a month ago, a gallon of regular gas cost $3.533.
