Workers with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office have faced threats since former President Donald Trump's indictment, a report claimed.

A source familiar with the matter told CNN that several workers, along with their households, have faced threats ahead of Trump's surrender. No further details were immediately provided, but concerns over potential threats had been voiced before Trump's indictment last week.

On Thursday, the Fulton County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that it was “aware that personal information of members of the Fulton County Grand Jury is being shared on various platforms,” adding that the FBI is involved in trying to “track down the origin of threats” against grand jurors in the case.

“We take this matter very seriously and are coordinating with our law enforcement partners to respond quickly to any credible threat and to ensure the safety of those individuals who carried out their civic duty,” it added.

As early as April, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis warned Georgia police of potential violence ahead of the indictment, urging them to undertake "heightened security and preparedness."

No violence from Trump supporters against anyone involved in the three previous indictments of the president has been reported, nor has any been reported in the latest, aside from threats.
