Fox News announced Thursday that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has accepted an interview on its network.

This will be the prince's first appearance on a United States network since 2019. Anchor Bret Baier will conduct the interview, slated to air Sept. 20, including that of other officials like Minister of Finance & Planning Faisal Alibrahim, Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb, and Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman.

WHY ARE SO MANY HIGH-LEVEL CHINESE OFFICIALS DISAPPEARING

"The pre-taped no-holds-barred interview will cover a range of topics about the future of the kingdom and relations with the United States," its press release read. Baier will host the two-day special from Saudi Arabia, which will begin the day before bin Salman's interview airs.

Most recently, Baier was entrusted with moderating the primary Republican debate last month alongside Martha MacCallum. Thirteen million viewers tuned in that night, which made it the most-watched non-sports cable telecast of the year. He typically hosts Special Report, with an average of 2.1 million viewers year-to-date, placing him in the top five shows in cable news.

CBS News's 60 Minutes program was the last to have a television interview with bin Salman, where he denied any involvement in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. During the interview, he spoke in Arabic, which was later dubbed into English. The Atlantic most recently interviewed him for an article in March of last year.

Bin Salman, 38, has been the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia since Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nayef was dismissed in 2017. However, bin Salman officially became the nation's prime minister in 2022.

President Joe Biden last met with the Saudi crown prince at the Group of 20 summit in New Delhi, India, on Saturday, where he was seen shaking his hand. Previously, he gave the prince a fist bump in 2022.
