Nielsen Ratings for Fox News reported the network’s second-highest second quarter in total day viewers on weekdays.

Fox saw 3,015,000 viewers this past quarter, with 350,000 in the 25-54 year old demographic. It beat ABC News’s 2.9 million viewers and NBC News’s 2.7 million. This quarter comes second to the one during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.

According to ratings, Fox News has been the most-watched cable news network in prime time for 94 consecutive quarters since 2002. This includes the added rise of total day viewers year over year by 27%. Even the coveted 25-54 year old demographic increased by 38%.

The program The Five kept its record as the most-watched non-primetime program for 15 consecutive quarters. It had almost 4 million viewers, more than ESPN’s broadcast of the NBA Playoffs.

The ratings announcement comes as Fox News continues to add to its cast of contributors and hosts, including podcaster Brett Cooper

Lara Trump, who hosts the network’s newest program, My View with Lara Trump, helped the network outpace CNN and MSNBC in weekend viewers. Trump garnered 1.371 million viewers, with 121,000 between the ages of 25 and 54. Her segments have focused on members of the Trump administration since February.

Fox Corporation continues to wield political influence, as demonstrated by Vice President JD Vance’s June meeting with Lachlan Murdoch, chairman of Fox Corporation and News Corp, which owns Fox News, Sky News Australia, the New York Post, the Sun, and the Wall Street Journal, among others, along with his predecessor and father, Rupert Murdoch.

The meeting was confirmed to the Washington Examiner by anonymous sources.

Meanwhile, CNN set a record in the opposite direction, hitting a low of 71,000 viewers between the ages of 25 and 54, and 105,000 viewers during its prime-time hours. CNN notably broke the news of the Defense Intelligence Agency’s preliminary damage assessment of the strikes against three nuclear sites in Iran, including its conclusion that less damage was inflicted than what President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced.
