Fox News Channel announced a significant overhaul of its weekend programming lineup on Wednesday, introducing new shows, shuffling hosts, and canceling its long-running media analysis program, MediaBuzz.
The changes will take effect beginning Saturday, Sept. 20. The network will debut Saturday in America, a new two-hour news program hosted by Outnumbered co-host and former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. The show will air Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eastern.

On Sunday, Sept. 21, Fox News will launch The Sunday Briefing, a one-hour program airing at 11 a.m. The show will be anchored by senior White House correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich, who will rotate weekly as solo hosts.
As part of the schedule changes, Fox News has canceled MediaBuzz, the Sunday media-focused commentary show hosted by Howard Kurtz. Kurtz, who joined the network in 2013 after hosting CNN’s Reliable Sources, will remain at Fox News as a political media analyst. He will also continue producing his Media Buzzmeter podcast and contributing to Fox News Digital.
The cancellation of MediaBuzz marks the end of dedicated media criticism programming on major U.S. cable news networks. CNN discontinued Reliable Sources in 2022, eliminating the last remaining competitor in that format.

Fox News also announced that Johnny Joey Jones and Tomi Lahren would become permanent co-hosts of The Big Weekend Show, which will expand to a three-hour broadcast block from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Fox News continues to lead the cable news industry in ratings. In the first quarter of 2025, the network averaged 2.2 million weekday viewers, more than double that of ESPN, according to internal network data. More than 13.6 million viewers tuned in to its live coverage of the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
