Fox News Channel wrapped the first 100 days of President Donald Trump‘s second term with an average of almost 2 million viewers per day, outpacing its ratings from the previous two administrations.
The uptick in viewership contrasts with Fox News’s competition, such as CNN, which saw its ratings drop by almost 60% among both prime-time and total viewers. MSNBC also experienced a double-digit decline in its ratings as the network fired Joy Reid, among other programming changes.

Fox News attracted 1.9 million people from Jan. 20 through April 29, a 47% increase from 2021 and 12% higher than the same period in 2017. Viewership increased to 3 million during prime time, which put the network up 25% from four years ago and 8% from eight years ago.
The network’s top show was The Five, which had an average of 4.1 million viewers each day. It continued its six-month streak of being the highest-rated cable news program overall.
Gutfeld!, the network’s late-night television alternative, came in as the second most-watched show with 3.1 million viewers in April. This total viewership puts it above CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which collected 2.5 million viewers, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! and its 1.5 million viewers, and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon with 1.1 million viewers.
