FOX Nation releases its second documentary on the assassination attempt of President Donald Trump on Thursday.

This sequel to the first part of FOX Nation’s documentary, “Butler Under Fire,” features exclusive interviews with the family of Corey Comperatore, who was shot and killed at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Comperatore’s wife, Helen, and their two daughters, Allyson and Kaylee, share their insights on the event and the moments that followed in Butler Under Fire: The Search for Justice.

The Butler County Emergency Services Unit also gave FOX Nation exclusive interviews as they met with the Comperatore family during filming. They shared exclusive video and audio recordings as they assisted the Secret Service in protecting Trump that day.

After the shooting, the head of the Secret Service at that time, Kimberly Cheatle, resigned. Shortly after, a second attempt was made on Trump’s life, but it resulted in no injuries or deaths. The details of how these would-be assassins got so close are still shrouded in mystery.

Secret Service Director Sean Curran was among the officers with Trump in Butler when a bullet struck Trump in the ear.

FOX Nation presents the exclusive documentary, Butler Under Fire: The Search for Justice, on Thursday, July 10.

The Washington Examiner reached out to the Secret Service for comment.

With the first assassination attempt anniversary three days away, the Secret Service issued a one-year update. In the release, the agency confirmed six agents were suspended without pay. Their respective suspensions ranged from 10 to 42 days.

Additionally, the agency implemented 21 of the 46 recommendations from Congress. Another 16 are in progress, and the remaining nine were addressed by other agencies. According to the release, these changes “are just the beginning, and the agency will continue to assess its operations, review recommendations and make additional changes as needed.”

Curran pledged that the agency will be “well-equipped” and “resourced” under his watch.

“My heart will always be with all those impacted on that day, especially Corey Comperatore, who lost his life while protecting those around him,” Curran’s statement reads. “Since President Trump appointed me as director of the United States Secret Service, I have kept my experience on July 13 top of mind, and the agency has taken many steps to ensure such an event can never be repeated in the future.”

“Nothing is more important to the Secret Service than the safety and security of our protectees,” Curran said.

FOX Nation’s Butler Under Fire, Part 2, comes eight months after the network released its Part 1 on Nov. 1, four days before Trump won the 2024 presidential election.
