NextImg:For Harris, the ultimate diss: She ‘doesn’t matter’

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has been under fire from all sides since she released her book on her 2024 run for president.

But few have knocked her to the mat faster than former Tennessee Democratic Rep. Harold Ford Jr. did Tuesday night while appearing on Fox News’s Special Report hosted by Bret Baier.

After a discussion about Harris’s new book, 107 Days, Baier asked Ford if he believed she was planning to run for president again in 2028. Ford deadpanned, “It doesn’t matter.”

Ford — an executive in New York’s financial world, a regular Special Report contributor, and co-host of The Five — was very critical of Harris for burning bridges with Democratic governors and former President Joe Biden in her book.

“The title of this book should have been ‘Thank you,’ because the party gave her the nomination,” Ford said.

“If you’re going to write a book and you want to have a political future, look forward. You can look back in the context of how you should look forward and maybe admit some miscalculations during the campaign, but here’s what Democrats should be doing now. And anybody who is serious about running for president, 2028, should be doing these things. This is not a useful exercise for her or for my party,” Ford added.
