The Beehive State distributes SNAP benefits on three dates throughout the month: Aug. 5, 11, and 15. Beneficiaries see their food stamps reloaded on the same day each month.

Monthly benefits for Utah SNAP can vary per household depending on several factors, including income, the number of people in a household, and additional assets.
The maximum SNAP benefits for a household of one is $281 and for a household of three is $740. The maximum amount listed is $1,330 for a household of six. Utah households must be at or below 130% of the federal poverty line. For a household of one, the gross monthly income limit is $1,473. For a household of three, the income limit is $2,495, and for a household of six, the limit is $4,029.

SNAP benefits are loaded on an electronic benefit transfer card to purchase eligible food items, such as bread, fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and poultry, seeds, and plants to grow food and dairy items. Alcohol, pet food, and cleaning supplies are excluded from the program.
An estimated 5% of the population, or 156,300 people, receive food stamps in Utah. Those who have applied for SNAP or are receiving benefits can manage their benefits or obtain more information through the online portal myCase.
