In New Mexico, the maximum SNAP payments are $281 for a household of one, $939 for a household of four, and $1,691 for a household of eight. For additional household members, $211 is added.

SNAP benefit recipients will see the amount transferred to a prepaid electronic benefit transfer card. The EBT card works similarly to a debit card and can be used at grocery stores and farmer's markets or at some online retailers. The money is intended for purchasing healthy foods.
