Colorado SNAP allotments depend on the size of a household. The maximum payment for one person is $281 per month. The maximum payment for a four-person family is $939. A household of eight could receive a maximum payment of $1,691. For every additional member after that, the program will add a maximum of $211.

Those interested in applying for SNAP benefits must meet a gross income requirement, net income criteria, and other asset limits. Through the use of an EBT card, the money can be used to buy eligible food items such as bread, fruit, vegetables, meat and poultry products, dairy items, and more. SNAP benefits cannot be used to purchase alcohol products, pet food, household items such as soap and paper products, or other barred materials as outlined by the program.
