Benefits start being sent out in Delaware on the second day of the month.
The size of recipients' families determines how much they receive. A single household will get $281, while an eight-member household will receive $1,691, according to Delaware.gov.
The date on which recipients receive their payment depends on the first letter of their last name. The funds will be deposited on an EBT card, which is used like a credit card.

Recipients need not worry about rushing to use the remaining funds before the month runs out; any amount left on an EBT card at the end of each month will roll over to the next month. As long as the card is regularly used, the benefits will not expire.
SNAP benefits can only be spent on food and nonalcoholic drinks. SNAP is active across all states and Washington, D.C., with benefits being loaded on cards.
