Pennsylvania households who have yet to receive their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program payment can expect to collect up to $1,902 over the next three days before the program wraps up for August.

Residents of the Keystone State receive food stamps beginning on the 3rd of the month and continuing until the 14th of the month. A household's specific arrival date depends on the last digit of the case account number associated with SNAP.

About 14% of the Pennsylvania population, or 1.84 million people, receive SNAP benefits. The average payment per household member per month is $182.

SNAP-eligible households of one can receive a minimum of $23 and a maximum of $281, a household of four can collect up to $939, and a household of nine can collect up to $1,902. Households with members of more than nine can receive up to $211 in additional SNAP benefits

Food stamps are reloaded each month onto an electronic benefits transfer card, which works like a debit card. Pennsylvanians can use the money at participating grocery stores and farmers markets, as well as some online retailers.

All food and fresh produce items can be purchased besides prepared foods, as well as seeds and plants to grow at home. If a SNAP recipient is homeless or unable to cook, the money can be used at some participating restaurants in the state. Some Meals on Wheels kitchens also accept food stamps.
