Texas requires SNAP recipients to follow work rules for anyone aged 16-59. Participants must be either working in a job, actively seeking one, or working in an approved work program. Recipients cannot quit their job without good reason.
SNAP benefits can only be spent on food and nonalcoholic drinks. SNAP is active across all states and Washington, D.C., with slight caveats between each.
