However, a household's specific receipt date will depend on a beneficiaries' Social Security number, case number, account number, or last name.
Eligible SNAP recipients must meet certain citizenship criteria for the state. Illinois residents who receive food stamps must be a citizen of the United States or have a qualified immigrant status for five years or more.
Immigrants who have not lived in the U.S. for five years may also qualify for food stamps if they are pregnant women, children, or noncitizen adults with serious medical conditions.

A SNAP-qualifying household of one can receive a maximum payment of $281, a household of six can collect up to $1,339, and a household of 10 can receive up to $2,113. For households with over 10 members, an additional $211 is included for each person.
Approximately 1.98 million people in the state receive food stamps, amounting to 16% of the population. The average payment per household member per month is $189.
