First lady Melania Trump’s office announced on Monday that it is accepting applications from volunteers interested in decorating the White House for Christmas.

Residents from all 50 states are invited to apply, though they must be available in Washington, D.C., when decorating begins during the last week of November. Interested parties can apply online by 5 p.m. on Sept. 5 and will be notified of their acceptance by Oct. 13.

The decorating will be completed in a series of shifts, with some volunteers working three days beginning Monday, Nov. 24, and others working three days starting Friday, Nov. 28. Volunteers can also work the full week, though there will be no decorating on Thanksgiving, which falls on Nov. 27 this year.

Every decorating day is expected to last from 6 a.m. ET through 5 p.m. ET.

The first lady’s office is also seeking volunteer performers, such as choirs and school bands, ahead of the Christmas season. Unlike the decorator application, which requires each person to apply themselves, the performer application only requires one applicant for the whole group.
