A train in Atlanta, Georgia, derailed on Friday, resulting in its tank cars starting a fire.

The derailment happened when a Norfolk Southern train hit a CSX train. Some eight cars toppled around the intersection of Old Chattahoochee Avenue and Bowen Street.

Atlanta Fire and Rescue reported that seven of those cars were tanker cars. Only one was filled with petrol oil, which likely fueled the subsequent fire, and the others were empty. It had about 1,200 gallons of fuel. The fire has been contained.

No injuries were reported. Officials did not make any evacuation orders as a result of the fire. A hazmat crew also came to the scene.

“CSX appreciates the swift action of local first responders,” CSX officials told the local outlet Channel 2 Action News. “Safety is our highest priority as we work to develop a recovery plan.”

Norfolk Southern was the same train company involved in the massive train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, which resulted in toxic chemical soil in the area.
