Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) poked fun at Republicans' attempt to impeach President Joe Biden, gifting Rep. James Comer (R-KY) a case of Bud Light to commemorate the "historic impeachment journey."
Fetterman's gift to Comer, the chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, is a nod to conservatives' move over the past year to distance themselves from the popular beer brand. On the case of beer Fetterman gifted Comer was a note that claimed "a profile in courage can make a guy thirsty," and wished the Republican congressman "hugs & kisses," according to a photo Fetterman posted to social media.

"This morning, I directed my staff to deliver a gift to congratulate and salute Representative Comer and his Team America squad as they embark on their historic impeachment journey," Fetterman wrote on social media.

Bud Light came under attack from conservatives after the beer brand partnered with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Bud Light gave Mulvaney a can that featured the activist's face. The move resulted in major pushback and boycotts that saw Anheuser-Busch, Bud Light's owner, lose millions of dollars.

Fetterman has made himself no stranger to poking fun at the Republican Party, selling merchandise based off of conspiracy theories that he is using "body doubles" on Capitol Hill. He also mocked Gov. Ron DeSantis's (R-FL) 2024 presidential campaign, saying that he dresses the way DeSantis campaigns for president.
The House Oversight Committee held its first impeachment hearing on Biden on Thursday, titling it “The Basis for an Impeachment Inquiry of President Joseph R. Biden Jr.” If House Republicans go through with impeachment, Biden will be the fourth president in history to be impeached, after Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump.
