People who do not have plans for Thursday evening can opt to spend it on social media watching Elon Musk, who hinted he would do "some silly stuff."

Musk said he would host the live stream on X, the platform once known as Twitter, to test live stream "scaling."

"People have asked me to stream myself playing video games, so I will try to speedrun a Tier 99 Nightmare dungeon on Diablo (with no malignant hearts)," Musk wrote online. "By 'speedrun,' I mean complete fairly quickly for an amateur. Please keep expectations low."

Musk's test of X's live stream scaling comes after he purchased Twitter last year, rebranding the platform to X in July. The CEO of X, Linda Yaccarino, stated in July that X would transform "the global town square."

The test of the live stream, which had to be rescheduled after it didn't go off as planned on Wednesday, could indicate that Musk is attempting to expand the abilities of the X platform, as well as what type of content people can create on X. In November 2022, Musk seemed to hint that content creators on YouTube could also post their content on X, and that X would match the same revenue that YouTube content creators make.

Earlier this year, Musk appeared in a Twitter Space, a live audio conversation, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who used the Space to announce his 2024 presidential run.
