Elon Musk is once again the wealthiest person on Earth, according to Bloomberg's Billionaires Index.

Musk lost the title in December to Bernard Arnault, the CEO of French luxury company LVMH, and the man behind SpaceX, Tesla, and Twitter stayed in the No. 2 spot for over two months, according to a report.

Tesla stock dove last year as Musk became embattled in his acquisition of Twitter.

His personal wealth fell roughly $200 billion in the last year, the report noted.

However, the 51-year-old benefited this week from a rally in Tesla's stock and reached the top of Bloomberg's index, the report noted.
