Elon Musk blames ‘woke mind virus’ for tricking him into transitioning his son - Washington Examiner

Billionaire and X owner Elon Musk has “vowed to destroy the woke mind virus” after he was “essentially tricked” into gender transitioning one of his children.
Musk detailed how he was not informed that puberty blockers are “actually just sterilization drugs” when he helped his son, Xavier, change genders. In 2022, Xavier Musk filed court documents in California stating, “I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form,” and asked to be renamed Vivian Jenna Wilson, with the last name belonging to Elon Musk’s first wife, Justine Wilson.
“I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier,” Musk said on The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast from the Daily Wire. “This was before I had really any understanding of what was going on, we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion. And, you know, I was told ‘Xavier might commit suicide.’”
Musk then reiterated his belief that gender transition practices on children are “incredibly evil,” and that those promoting this belong in prison. He added that the reason calling a transgender person their original name is referred to as “deadnaming” is because “your son is dead.”
“So my son Xavier is dead, killed by the woke mind virus,” Musk said.
The billionaire added that he “vowed” to combat the “woke mind virus” after losing his son, and he believes “we’re making some progress” on this.

Musk has long vocalized his opposition to gender transition practices for children, stating back in March 2023 that anyone “who sterilizes a child before they are a consenting adult should go to prison for life.” He also spoke very harshly against a new California law that banned schools from notifying parents if their child starts identifying as a different gender.
In his criticism of California’s new law, Musk announced he would be moving the headquarters of SpaceX and X out of California to Texas, describing the law as “the final straw” that prompted his decision.
